The plenary session of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council today approved, among other matters, agreeing to accept the subsidy granted in accordance with the Strategic Plan for Tourism Subsidies of Gran Canaria (Cabildo de Gran Canaria) for the year 2023, and referring to the collaboration between said Institution and the Municipal Corporation, regarding the promotion of the Maspalomas International Carnival 2023, for an amount of €50.000.

Mayor Conchi Narváez explained during the session that, “the entire programming of 'Ritmos Latinos', the performances and the main events that identify us as the most international carnival in the Canary Islands, are already articulated and structured.”
And he added that "the Queen's gala, the Drag Queen's gala and the Great Parade, among others, will have a greater impact in this edition on the markets and agents of the European tourism sector."
At this time, in addition to the official winning identification poster, 'Latin Dancer', with 64,8% of the votes cast, the requirements that the participating floats of the Grand Parade of the Maspalomas International Carnival must meet have also been made public. 2023, scheduled for next Saturday, March 18. A maximum of one hundred floats will be admitted.
