At around 11:05 a.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health assistance for a cyclist who had suffered a fall due to possible loss of consciousness in Orilla Alta street, Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
Upon arrival, the SUC health personnel confirmed that the affected person, a 54-year-old man, was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so they performed basic and advanced resuscitation maneuvers without result, thus confirming his death.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources with a medicalized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance. The Local Police of Santa Lucía is in charge of the judicial proceedings.
