The streets of Vecindario are already ready for the traditional test, which this year opens at night and plans to bring together more than a hundred participants
The Mayor Camilo Sánchez Half Marathon, a traditional race in the town of Santa Brígida, will be held this Saturday with various race options and many new features along its route. Among the events will be more festive options such as the Fruit Festival Walk, children's races, and the main new addition, Night Skating , as well as the traditional 5K, 10.5K, and half marathon races.
Activities such as bib number collection, children's races, and the Fruit Festival will take place on Saturday morning and afternoon, while Night Skating will begin at 18:00 PM and the 5K, 10.5K, and 21K races will start at 20:00 PM. The event promises to be a celebration of sport, with performances by the bands Los 600 and Los Salvapantallas.
In this way, Saint Lucia is once again betting on an event that already has more than ten editions and is already a reference in the world of athletics on the island. A marathon that personalities such as Antonio Peña, Spanish Marathon champion in 1997, or Chantal Dallenbach, world runner-up in the half marathon modality in 1996, have passed through.
