The curious reference to Vecindario in “La Resistencia” that sweeps the networks

Quevedo continues to make people talk about his island, so much so that he does it even unintentionally. During his participation a few days ago in the program “La Resistencia”, a reference on pay television, the Gran Canarian artist began to talk with the host of the show, David Broncano, about football in the archipelago; The conversation led to the presenter asking Quevedo which team on the island was the rival of UD Las Palmas, to which the young man responded that there was none. 

A response that didn't go unnoticed by one of the audience members at the theater where the program is filmed, who quickly shouted, "The Neighborhood!" This response caught the hosts off guard, and Quevedo responded that there was no direct rivalry between the two clubs. The amusing moment has gone viral on social media , where various accounts have shared the clip, which has already accumulated over twenty-five thousand views and sparked a curious football debate among netizens discussing which rival could be considered the main competitor of the capital city team on the island.

This isn't the first time Quevedo has been linked to Vecindario, even though, at first glance, the Gran Canaria artist has no direct connection to the town. Late last year, during a stream with the famous Ibai Llanos, they received a question from a fan sending greetings from Vecindario, to which Quevedo responded by explaining to the Basque streamer that "Vecindario is a town in Gran Canaria."

Interestingly, Quevedo has once again been linked to Vecindario in recent days, albeit indirectly, as many of his fans have expressed their disappointment that his concert at the Gran Canaria Arena on March 11th coincides with the town's carnival celebrations. It's clear that the "Quevedo effect" continues to benefit his island, which is constantly being mentioned by his fans from the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, and abroad.
