The victim was threatened with a large knife
The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Agüimes, within the framework of an investigation, arrested on January 19 a 47-year-old man, who has numerous police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, when entering the interior of a supermarket which was open to the public, intimidating the employee with a large knife, getting her to open the cash register and steal the amount of approximately 200 euros, events that occurred in the municipality of Agüimes .
The Civil Guard learned of the events on January 12 through a complaint at the Agüimes Post in which an unidentified man entered the supermarket in the town of Carrizal carrying a large knife with which he intimidated the employee of the store. establishment to open the cash register, subtracting approximately 200 euros from the proceeds, and immediately leaving the place.
The agents carried out all the pertinent efforts to locate the alleged perpetrator of the criminal act, which were unsuccessful despite the police efforts made at that very moment.
The investigating agents immediately began an investigation into the events that occurred, carefully analyzing the images captured by the business's security cameras, where it could be seen that the aggressor covered part of his face with a tubular scarf, making his identification difficult.
Therefore, after the investigations carried out, the Civil Guard obtained a series of data that led to obtaining the identity of the alleged perpetrator of the robbery, it being striking that the same person had carried out a similar incident, in the same business, in the month of October 2020, verifying that he had been free for a few days.
The Civil Guard confirmed the participation of the criminal in the events investigated, proceeding to his immediate location and arrest.
The detainee along with the proceedings carried out were placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court No. 1 of Telde, agreeing to his provisional admission to prison.
