End to the mandatory use of masks on public transport

The Council of Ministers has approved the entry into force of the measure starting tomorrow, when it will be published in the BOE

 

Full stop to one of the few anti-covid measures that reached 2023; The use of masks on public transport will no longer be mandatory starting tomorrow, February 8. A measure that was announced a few weeks ago, but that has not been confirmed in the Council of Ministers until today.

 

The measure was one of the first to be imposed in the de-escalation phase after confinement and has been one of the few that has been in force until 2023. Despite being one of the rules that has bothered citizens the most precisely because Having remained in place for so long, many public transport users have stated that they will continue to use the mask as a precaution.

 

With this measure, the mandatory nature of masks now only affects hospitals, medical centers, pharmacies, nursing homes and dental clinics.
