Ithaisa Suárez, mother of the missing minor, recently gave an interview in which she denounces harassment and ridicule by well-known YouTubers
In March it will be 16 years since the disappearance of Yeremi Vargas, a case that shocked all of Spain. The minor disappeared on March 10, 2007, when he was only 7 years old, while playing in an open field in front of his house in Vecindario. The main suspect in the case, “El Rubio” was accused by a fellow prisoner of confessing to the crime, something that the accused has always publicly denied.
Ithaisa Suárez has consistently publicized her son's case through every possible channel, searching for any information or evidence that might shed light on the matter. This time, she gave an interview to the YouTuber Axel Blaze. In the interview, Ithaisa recounted the family's ordeal following her son's disappearance and also denounced the campaign of harassment and ridicule she endured years ago from famous YouTubers.
The mother of the missing child is accusing one person in particular: the YouTuber and Twitter user Biyín . Ithaisa claims to have received numerous prank calls from people claiming to know her son's location and to have been the victim of a harassment campaign by various YouTubers and Twitter users, including Sara Biyín. Some of the attacks Ithaisa received included photoshopped images of a corpse with her son's face and photos of Yeremi dressed as Wally (from the Where's Waldo? movie ), messages accusing her of being a drug addict, and hurtful tweets about her son's disappearance.
The YouTuber Biyín, who has also been accused by other users of racism, Nazism, and xenophobia, has responded, visibly upset, claiming that "those are tweets from a decade ago , " "it's dark humor," and offering a long string of excuses to distance herself from her words. Speaking about Ithaisa Suárez on her Twitch stream, she asserts that she hasn't done anything Suárez accuses her of and that she is considering filing a lawsuit regarding these accusations.
Ithaisa Suárez recounts that the YouTubers' modus operandi consisted of launching constant attacks and mockery through the account @Aparcada . According to various Twitter users, this account was allegedly run by famous Twitter users and YouTubers such as Biyín, Berlustinho, and Auronplay; the latter already had a considerable following in 2013, the year of the events. Furthermore, there are clips of him on a call with a friend laughing at a "joke" about the minor and stating that his friend "has a big mouth but is a good person." In a recent interview, the minor's mother stated that Auronplay contacted her to apologize.
In the last few hours, Ithaisa has reappeared alongside the YouTuber with whom she conducted the interview, stating that Biyín did not participate in the calls she received regarding the case, but she does consider her responsible for the Twitter posts. The mother of the minor, faced with the YouTuber's threats of legal action, stated that "they practically have to pay that person for threatening to expose her in the press."
