The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council launches the 'San Bartolomé de Tirajana for Equality' contest, which encourages its citizens to create videos on TikTok to raise awareness of gender equality.
The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council presents ' San Bartolomé de Tirajana for equality' , a competition that, around the hashtag #Sanbartolomédetirajanaporlaigualdad, will collect videos on the social network TikTok to raise awareness and fight for gender equality.
In this way, the municipality joins the third edition of 'Rodando por la Igualdad', a national video project on said social network promoted by CortoEspaña and organized on March 8, International Women's Day.
To participate it is not necessary to have professional equipment. All you need is a cell phone… and a good story to tell!
Being part of the contest is as simple as uploading a video to the TikTok platform with the corresponding contest hashtags (#Sanbartolomédetirajanaporlaigualdad and #rodandoporlaigualdad)

The theme of the contest will be everything that concerns the fight for equality. The maximum duration of the videos will be 60 seconds and you can use all the creative possibilities provided by the TikTok social network itself.
In order to compete, it will be necessary for the participant to live, study, work or be born in the town and may send as many audiovisual pieces as they wish, as well as those associations that do not have local representation but do have island representation.
Awards
The contest has two prizes: a first prize worth 200 euros and a second prize worth 100 euros. The deadline for registration is February 24 included and the winning works will be announced on March 3 after the jury's decision, which will be made up of members of local society and personalities from the audiovisual sector.
In addition, the winning video will be eligible for the national awards, which have a total prize of 2.400 euros distributed in: 1st prize with 1.000 euros, 2nd prize with 500, 3rd prize with 400 euros, 4th prize with 300 and 5th prize with 200 euros.
These national awards will be announced on March 30 and will create an ideal framework throughout Spain for the dissemination and impact of the event, as well as for the fight for gender equality.
Eight million views
The first two editions 'Rolling for equality', held in 2021 and 2022, had a total of 97 locations in our country and more than 1.500 registered participants, exceeding 8 million total views on TikTok.
The objective of this initiative is to stimulate the creative capacity of the citizens of the concurrent municipalities while promoting reflection and awareness of sexual and gender diversity based on real equality between women and men.
For this, the TikTok platform has been chosen due to its high penetration in the youngest strata of society and the ease of audiovisual creation it provides.
