Local police, councilors from the Security area, authorities and professionals from the security and emergency sector from other municipalities on the island learned this Thursday in the Plenary Hall of the City Council about the application of the VinfoPOL police management software currently used by the Local Police of Ingenuity and that allows the optimization of technical and human resources, allowing agents to better invest their time in services to citizens.
Mayor Ana Hernández, who welcomed the people attending this presentation, highlighted that the Local Police is the main pillar of the security of a municipality due to its proximity and its continuous presence on public roads, “that is why they need tools that facilitate and speed up their work, and this program responds to those demands of our agents.”
Ana Hernández assured that "at Ingenio we know the importance of having a trained and equipped local police force, that is why from this City Council we make a great effort to provide it with all those elements and knowledge that facilitate its daily work."
The head of the Ingenio Local Police, Justo Santana, explained that the use of this application “makes us the drivers of police digitalization in Gran Canaria”, and added that “among the benefits that this software brings us is that it adapts to us, not the other way around, which makes the tasks we do on a daily basis much easier.”
Santana assured that presenting it to other municipalities "allows us to have connectivity and share data between the different local police forces that use it."
VinfoPOL, which is multi-platform and allows you to link different devices that operate immediately, allows you to carry out digital transformation in the field of security in a simple and fast way, and has access to data from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), the municipal register or the City Council's own file manager. It also allows the consultation of data in real time, and this tool also facilitates the comparison of data with other years so that concrete information can be obtained in a predictable way.”
