The Karuna Maspalomas Association and the Committee of Ukrainian Refugees of the Canary Islands are pleased to announce a trip scheduled for this Thursday, February 16 to Ukraine with the purpose of bringing donations of essential medicines, medical supplies and first aid to the city of Kiev, in Ukrainian territory. The mission of the association is to provide support to those in need due to the unfavorable war situation in this country.
This trip will be carried out in collaboration with local organizations in Ukraine and is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of the people who receive the donations. The association has received a generous amount of donations of medicines from companies and individuals, who have been extraordinarily involved in this humanitarian work, which will be distributed in Ukraine, once they reach their destination, to all those people in need. .
The association's team is made up of dedicated and highly trained volunteers who will work tirelessly to ensure that donations reach those who need them most, counting in particular on our president Francisco José Molina Ruiz, who will personally carry the donations in the company of a volunteer of the Ukrainian refugee committee of the Canary Islands. This trip is also expected to strengthen relations between the association and local organizations in Ukraine and promote future joint initiatives.
The Karuna Maspalomas Association hopes that this trip, like the previous ones we have made, will become a more focused step towards a series of initiatives that address the lack of access to medicines in Ukraine and around the world for the future. We invite the community to join us in our effort to improve the lives of people everywhere.
This initiative will be carried out thanks to the funds obtained through a subsidy offered by the Department of Institutional Cooperation and International Solidarity of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and in particular to Mr. Carmelo Ramírez, Minister of Institutional Cooperation and International Solidarity.
