The Department of Sports facilitates access to the municipality's sports facilities to the local Red Cross assembly in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, as part of their professional development
The Sports Department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, through the first deputy mayor Samuel Henríquez Quintana, has delivered access cards to the municipal sports facilities to the local Red Cross assembly in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. This delivery is made in response to a request from the Red Cross works council in which staff and volunteer access to the sports facilities was requested as a complement to their personal and professional development.

Councilor Samuel Henríquez expressed that “as it could not be otherwise, the Department of Sports has agreed to this request and we have taken the opportunity to explain to the workers the work that is being done from the coastal and beach area, in order to improve their safety, as well as the employment situation of workers.” In addition, the mayor wanted to "thank you for the work they do to make our beaches and our services as safe as possible."

The Regional President and Regional Vice President of the Red Cross, Gerardo Santana Cazorla, took advantage of the meeting to thank the City Council, the workers and volunteers for their work, as well as the 25.000 euro subsidy received by the Department of Social Services, led by Councilor Mercedes. Díaz, which "has served to improve the facilities' resources to be able to offer a better service, such as the purchase of refrigerators to preserve food." On the other hand, the councilor took the opportunity to provide information about the agreement that will be signed with Canaragua and the Red Cross, "which will allow us to give certain families access to consensual work for their job placement."
