'Las Inkietas' and 'Ni Quito Ni Pongo' complete the podium after a dynamic and fun show. The 'Great Musical' lives a weekend of drumbeat with the Day Carnival in Playa de Arinaga and numerous events in the historic center of the municipality

'The children of Chano el Negro' won the grand final of the 39th edition of the Agüimes Murgas Contest. His witty and current lyrics full of political criticism conquered the jury on a night of pleasant temperatures that allowed them to enjoy one of the most traditional shows of the municipality's Carnival. The podium was completed with 'Las Inkietas' and 'Ni Quito Ni Pongo', which respectively won the second and third prizes for interpretation.

In front of a packed square, the most anticipated event of the 'Great Musical', an allegory of this year's festivities, raised the audience with the performances of the eight murgas that passed the qualification phases. This time the rain gave a truce, so the intelligent humor characteristic of the Agüimes groups filled the Plaza del Rosario without the company of umbrellas.
