Cartoons will fill the streets of Santa Lucía de Tirajana with costumes

 

 

 

 

 

The mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana Francisco García López, accompanied by Yaiza Pérez, Councilor for Culture and Alberto Ojeda, Carnival Coordinator, have presented the extensive program of carnival festivities, which will take place in the municipality between March 2 and 12.

 

The municipality's parade will cross the entire Avenida de Canarias on Saturday, March 11, starting at 19:00 p.m., guaranteeing a full capacity of Avenida de Canarias in one of the most crowded events in the southeastern municipality. In addition, it should be noted that in this edition on March 4, the Street Carnival will be celebrated, with musical performances on different stages in the commercial area throughout the day. Another novelty this year is that the burning of the Sardina that will take place in Pozo Izquierdo on the morning of the 12th is recovered.

 

 

 

 

 

Mayor Francisco García celebrated that “we can once again enjoy carnivals normally, which in our municipality are always family events, gathering events in our streets and in which we even recover Canarian traditions as important as carnival dances.”

 

 

 

 

Councilor Yaiza Pérez highlighted the work that “the animation workshop has been preparing for months for the night of the Carnival Allegory, so that on March 3 it will once again bring together thousands of neighbors at the Víctor Jara theater.”
