The alleged perpetrator of the events, 22 years old, seriously injured his neighbor, a 58-year-old woman
A 22-year-old young man has been arrested by the Civil Guard accused of stabbing his 58-year-old neighbor in the neck. The events occurred in Vecindario, on Ifara Street. Members of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and a Civil Guard unit traveled to the scene of the event and proceeded to arrest the young man.
According to police sources, upon arriving at the scene, the agents found the alleged perpetrator arguing with the injured husband, who accused the young man of having tried to murder his wife. Both the SUC troops and the agents found the woman in serious condition and with a deep cut on her neck that had caused her to lose a lot of blood.
After packing the wound and trying to stabilize the woman, the SUC members transferred her to the University Hospital of Las Palmas, where she was admitted in serious condition. The author was arrested by Civil Guard agents and, according to first indications, the attack could have occurred after an argument over the use of certain substances.
