Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia receives a Repsol sun again

Have you ever been to the Grand Hotel Residencia*****GL? We are not exaggerating when we assure you that it is a place where gastronomy occupies a prominent place thanks to the recipes and dishes inherited from the cultures that have been protagonists in the life of its Chef. In front of the restaurant is the Chef Wolfgang Grobauer, who was born into a family of restaurateurs in Zurich and grew up in Munich. He learned the trade from him in the legendary Grand Hotel Continental of the Bavarian capital. She has spent a lot of time, lived a lot and earned many awards, including a estrella Michelin  in the restaurant Landhaus Dill and another star for his work in  Cöllns Austerstuben, which he maintained for almost a decade until 2000, the year in which he left the restaurant.

This year it has received an award in the 2023 Gastronomic Awards and for the fifth consecutive year a Repsol sun. 

 

The 2023 Gastronomic Recognitions event was held on the morning of January 30. A spectacular setting, the Canary Garden, welcomed 20 illustrious chefs, protagonists of the gastronomic scene of Gran Canaria and key players in what Canarian gastronomy symbolizes. Antonio Morales, president of the Cabildo, presented these awards wanting to honor the chefs and restaurants that “value the island's gastronomy.”

The Repsol Guide has also awarded a Sol again this year to Grand Hotel Residencia*****GL. This guide discovers the incredible Spanish gastronomic heritage through the best non-perishable products of our country and was born as a result of Repsol's commitment to Spanish gastronomy.
