The latest environmental crime committed by a woman in Lanzarote reopens the debate about the liberties that many influencers take in restricted spaces on the islands to take the perfect photo
An influencer with almost 300.000 followers on Instagram has published a series of videos on her networks in which she can be seen climbing the Montaña del Golfo, in Lanzarote, with a group of friends. A mountain that surrounds the Charco de los Clicos, an area with an exceptional state of conservation and with signs warning of the prohibition of passage. This act has outraged the neighbors, who have made their discomfort public on social networks.
But this is not the first time that an influencer arrives in the archipelago and breaks the rules to access places where entry is prohibited, putting his own integrity at risk on many occasions. In addition to the act, they document everything to later upload it on their social networks and “show off” the exclusivity or beauty of those sites into which they have illegally entered.
In the Canary Islands there are several cases that have occurred recently; In January of last year, a South Korean influencer formed figures and words with rocks in the Maspalomas Dunes, an act that represents a serious alteration to the landscape and involves the erosion of the dunes themselves, thus reducing their size.

Even the small island of La Graciosa has been a victim of these environmental attacks. At the end of last year, a tourist was recorded damaging one of the walls of Montaña Amarilla, an emblematic enclave of the eighth island, with a sharp object with which he intended to leave a mark.
