The big week of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana carnival will continue on Thursday with the celebration of the Traditional Carnival on Avenida de Canarias, on Friday with the Drag Paradise Night, on Saturday the 11th with the Parade and on Sunday with the burial of the Sardine
The Carnival in the Street and the Family Carnival filled the Pedestrian Zone of Avenida de Canarias this weekend with mascaritas of all ages. On Saturday, Avenida de Canarias, Calle Colón, Plaza de los Algodoneros and Plaza de San Rafael brought together hundreds of people who enjoyed the inflatables, children's activities and performances by Totó el Payaso, La Chirimurga del Barrio, Countdown, Pepe Benavente, Los Lola, Ulises Acosta DJ. The Screensavers Ulises Acosta DJ, Armonía Show. Star Music, Línea DJ, La Mekánica by Tamarindos.
On Sunday, at the Family Carnival, there were performances by the Sol y Viento Band and the Cuentópolis Band. In the afternoon at the Víctor Jara theater, the Murgas Meeting was held with performances by the murgas Las Inkietas, Los Nietos de Sarymanchez, Las Golisnionas, Los Chismosos and Los Lengüetudos.
Carnival arrives
This Tuesday and Wednesday at the Víctor Jara theater, the students from the municipality's preschool and primary schools and the dance and dance groups from the municipality's academies will be the protagonists of the Carnival. On Tuesday, starting at 17 p.m., there will be the gala for the educational centers and on Wednesday, also starting at 5 p.m., there will be the Carnival of the dance academies.
On Thursday starting at 4,30 in the afternoon in the Plaza de Los Algodoneros there will be the Traditional Carnival, with a workshop on creating masks with bags, a snack with carnival tortillas and chocolate and a performance by the Parranda Mejunje.
On Friday the most transgressive gala arrives with the Drag Paradise Night, where the queens will bring their best shows to the Víctor Jara theater, in a party that will have journalist Paco Luis Quintana and actress Yanely Hernández as masters of ceremony. Then, at 23 p.m., in the Plaza de San Rafael there will be the Tropical Night with performances by Tonny Tun Tun and El Gran Combo Dominicano.
On Saturday there will be the Parade from Cruce de Sardina to Doctoral, with the parade of floats and masks that will travel along Avenida de Canarias. On Sunday at 12 noon there will be the Burning of the Sardine in Pozo Izquierdo, and the Trova and Aseres concerts.
