The Southeast Fair says goodbye until November “with a magnificent balance”

The Commonwealth of the Southeast highlighted this year the work of Segundo Cabrera, master engineer of wood pyrography; Juana María Trujillo, owner of the artisan bakery Pan de Agüimes; and Pino Hernández, a wool spinning artisan from Tirajana

Coinciding with the presidency of the Commonwealth, the fair will be held again in November in the municipality of Agüimes

The Southeast Fair said goodbye today until November, “with a magnificent balance that exceeds all expectations” of past editions, said the president of the Southeast Commonwealth and mayor of Ingenio, Ana Hernández. Many stalls “have sold practically all the product they have brought,” stated the president after a first contact with participants from Ingenio, Agüimes and Santa Lucía, for which she advocated “continuing working in this line and ensuring the sales of the producers and producers of the region.” 

 

Thus ends a nineteenth edition surrounded by traditions, craftsmanship and local products from which the Commonwealth of the Southeast draws its attention every year, for the last twenty years.

As a final touch to the complete program of activities held during the weekend, the families who came to Avenida Carlos V were able to enjoy the verses of Yeray Rodríguez and Conciencia Urbana, from Los Gofiones, which always elicit the most passionate applause from the public. , and Vocal 7, with which the fair said goodbye until the end of the year. 

  

In between, one of the most important acts of this meeting: the recognition of the people who keep the traditions of the region alive, through crafts, agriculture, livestock and the production, in general, of agri-food products.

On this occasion, the Commonwealth of Southeast Gran Canaria highlighted the work of Segundo Cabrera, master engineer of wood pyrography and creator of hiking rocks; Juana María Trujillo, from the artisan bakery Pan de Agüimes; and Pino Hernández, a wool spinning artisan from Tirajana; three professionals who carry out “a conscious work” and who “have always taken a step forward,” Yeray Rodríguez sang to pay tribute to them. “Thanks to that work, they are the best example of the southeast and its people,” the speaker recited about the three honorees who thanked the Commonwealth for the recognition, but also their colleagues and their families.

With these recognitions and the Vocal 7 concert, the Southeast Fair says goodbye until November, as announced by the president of the Commonwealth, to recover its usual date of celebration and the tradition of it being held every year in the municipality that He holds the presidency of the Southeastern Commonwealth.
