ASPROTAC demands that the Gran Canaria Transport Department eliminate the limitation of 20 transfers per month for taxi drivers from other municipalities. ASPROTAC has long been fighting to eliminate airport transfers. At the end of last year, the association published a post on its official website directly criticizing Miguel Ángel Pérez del Pino, the Island Council's Transport Councilor, for "prohibiting" taxi drivers from other municipalities from going to the airport, offering only 20 transfers per month, a number they consider insufficient.
