The Local Police of Villa de Ingenio has been awarded at the national level by the Network for the Protection of Animals to Police Services, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Animal Rights of the Government of Spain, for its work for animal welfare and their interventions in the defense of their rights.
The ceremony for the awarding of this new distinction achieved by the Ingenio Local Police will take place in the city of Albacete, on March 23, within the framework of the National Meeting of Local Security (SeguCITY).
The chief of the Ingenio Police, Justo Santana, does not hide his satisfaction with this new recognition “for agents who work decisively and continuously, not only for the safety of the citizens of the municipality but also for the animals and the environment.” , offering a comprehensive service appropriate to the current times.”
This award is added to others achieved in recent years by this local security body, such as the Quality Seal, which it has collected for the fifth consecutive year, or the one for good practices and covid-19 protocol. His dedication to the citizens also earned him the recognition of the municipality with the Golden Ingenuity.
The Animal Protection Network is a meeting space between various entities that have the common objective of promoting awareness among the authorities with jurisdiction in matters of public security and police services in matters of animal protection and well-being. The Network is currently made up of the National Union of Local Police Chiefs and Directors (Unijepol), the Spanish Society of Criminology (SECRIM), the Animal Justice Association and the Spanish Public Security Association for Animal Protection (AESPA).
