Alternative Leisure Nights (NOA)

What do we do this end of week? This is the question that young people usually ask themselves when looking for activities and places to meet up with their friends, socialize outside the scope of their studies and try to enjoy the free time they have left after their day-to-day obligations. The answer in Agüimes is, for some time now, much simpler: the Alternative Leisure Nights (NOA).
These are unique, fun and above all free activities, designed and organized by the young people of the municipality, which take place from eight in the afternoon until one in the morning on Friday and Saturday nights. , using public facilities and spaces. The idea is to find a safe and healthy environment and an original type of activities aimed at people between 14 and 30 years old interested in sharing at least curious and interesting experiences.
For the month of March, for example, the Alternative Leisure Nights feature sports tournaments, night routes in nature, theater, music, board games and urban culture events. The complete programming, month by month, can be consulted on the project's Instagram profile and on the municipal events website https://eventos.aguimes.es, where registrations can also be made, which will always be completely free.
The NOA project is promoted by the Educa Joven association and has the support of the Agüimes City Council and the Department of Education and Youth of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. The counselor, Olaia Morán, met this Wednesday with the mayor, Óscar Hernández, and those responsible for the association, in order to take stock of the first weeks and learn the details of the next scheduled activities.
