The sexual assault is allegedly due to touching the minor
The celebration of the great parade of the Maspalomas International Carnival has been marred by the complaint of a minor who claims to have been sexually assaulted during the festivities.
The minor went to the Red Cross hospital present on the parade route, claiming not to remember anything and visibly disoriented. After a first analysis, the young woman was transferred to the Maternal and Child Hospital for a forensic analysis to clarify what happened. The National Police is investigating the events.
Reports of sexual assaults suffered a worrying increase of 34% last year, establishing a dangerous trend with practically an average of one report every three hours. In the first months of 2023, various sexual assaults committed by minors have been reported throughout Spain.
