The Costa Mogán Carnival in India begins its Bollywood

Arguineguín will host intense days of celebration and fantasy from March 23 to 26, highlighting events such as the People's Gala, the Drag Gala and the Parade

The People's Gala and the Drag Gala will be broadcast live on RTV Mogán and on the official profile of the City Council on Facebook

In the Plaza del Mercadillo de Arguineguín, details are being finalized for the beginning of the Costa Mogán Carnival 2023, which in this edition, the first after the pandemic without restrictions, is inspired by India. The first event will be the People's Gala in which local groups, the murga Los Lengüetudos and La Murgota, participate. 

 

The neighbor and local television presenter, Óscar Navarro, will be in charge of welcoming the Mogan festivals from the India stage located in the Plaza Negra or the Mercadillo, where beach bars and attractions for the little ones are also concentrated.

 

The Municipal Sports Schools, the ACEDANCE dance academy, the Ana Vega Comparsa, the Women's Group of the Mogán Artistic Schools and the Mogán Occupational Center will take part in the People's Gala, which will begin tomorrow at 20:00 p.m. . As guests, Los Lengüetudos and La Murgota. 

 

On Friday at 21:00 p.m. there will be the long-awaited Drag Gala, in which Drag Ármek, Drag Kálik, Drag Boydevil, Drag Yshia Taisma, Drag Némesis, Drag Leuman and Drag Équinox compete. The winner will be the Drag Queen Carnaval Costa Mogán 2023, receiving 1.500 euros. The second place will also be awarded with 900 euros and the third with 600.  

 

The Gala, directed by Nauzet Afonso, will be presented by Amor Romeira and will feature performances by Soraya Arnelas, Sofía Cristo and Tutto Durán. When the Costa Mogán Carnival has its drag court, the mogollon will begin with Grupo Arena and Sofía Cristo.

 

Saturday's day will begin at 11:00 am, next to El Perchel beach, with what will be the 1st Heel Race. In the afternoon, at 19:00 p.m., the Parade will begin, starting from Damasco Street in Arguineguín and ending in Plaza Negra, where there will then be a lot with Armonía Show, Leyenda Joven and DJ Nichel B.

 

On the last day of the Costa Mogán Carnival, Sunday, March 26, the 'Family Carnival' will take place at 10:30 a.m. in Plaza Pérez Galdós. There will be a photocall, a costume catwalk, a mini-disco, a chocolate and omelette breakfast, and animated characters. At 14:00 p.m. the party will move to the Plaza Negra with the 'La Bajeta' Day Carnival in which Aseres, Los 600 and the Tribute to Elvis Crespo perform. 

 

At 20:00 p.m. the Burial of the Sardine will begin, which will depart from Plaza Negra escorted by the Los Legañosos murga to the rhythm of Charanga Archipiélago. The entire carnival family will accompany her to Las Marañuelas beach, where she will be burned and the Costa Mogán Carnival 2023 will say goodbye until next year with a fireworks display.
