NC and AV-SLT sign the first electoral battle in the southeast

 

The electoral battle has already begun in Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Nueva Canarias and AV-PP have already exchanged the first “blows” ahead of the municipal elections on May 28. The clash occurred following a statement from Nueva Canarias in which they accused AV-PP of filing a “false complaint” with the aim of unfairly and defamatory attacks on the city council workers and the local administration. The nationalist formation also pointed out that this is not the first time that the Neighborhood Association had filed a complaint against them, referring to a lawsuit dismissed by the investigating court No. 1 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

 

 

AV-PP has not been slow to come forward to defend itself against these accusations, the coalition has published a statement signed by Manuel Hernández, candidate for mayor of SLT, denying point by point the accusations of Nueva Canarias. The Neighborhood Association has denied NC's accusations about the complaint and the professional questioning of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council officials. Manuel Hernández has indicated that the complaint was not made with the purpose of pointing out any public official, but rather responds to the external hiring of a lawyer who is a colleague and friend of a Chief of Service of the consistory.

 

From the coalition they affirm that the complaint was promoted by the Prosecutor's Office and that the hiring of said lawyer was confirmed on two occasions but that, due to the lack of criminal evidence, a provisional dismissal was agreed, granting the possibility of reopening the case if They gather evidence that certifies the existence of a crime in that contract. In its statement, AV-PP sticks out its chest stating that this complaint has stopped Nueva Canarias, since the services of the lawyer have not been used again.

 

Once the points of defense by the Agrupación de Vecinos were exposed, Manuel Hernández has gone on to attack Francisco García and his partner Santiago Rodríguez, whom he reminds of their involvement in the famous “luxury congress”, an irregularity that from the Agrupación de Vecinos Neighbors took them to court, as pointed out by the AV-PP mayoral candidate. He has also stated that the Government Group of Santa Lucía de Tirajana should be concerned since they have been repeatedly condemned by Justice due to their administrative irregularities and that, once he assumes the mayor's office, he will make them return every last euro that they have illegally squandered to the residents of the municipality.

 

Manuel Hernández ends his statement by accusing both Nueva Canarias and the Fortaleza-CC coalition of distorting reality and affirms that only a few privileged officials are co-responsible for the irregularities of the Government Group, while the rest of the staff performs their functions in a manner correct.
