The events occurred at dawn on Saturday in the pedestrian area of Avenida de Canarias, Vecindario. No personal injury occurred
A driver entered the pedestrian zone of Avenida de Canarias with his vehicle, in Vecindario. The events occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday and, according to witnesses and residents of the area, the car entered the pedestrian zone from the south and drove practically to the end of the pedestrian zone, reversing until reaching to the Plaza de San Rafael.
The Local Police officers on the morning shift observed the situation through the surveillance cameras and immediately went to the scene to identify the driver. Once they arrived at the scene of the incident, the agents performed the mandatory breathalyzer test on the driver, in which he tested positive.
The agents proceeded to arrest the driver, who had not suffered any personal injury. However, the vehicle (a 2011 silver gray Nissan Qashqai) did suffer damage to the front, losing the bumper, grille and a headlight when it hit one of the bollards that delimit the pedestrian zone of the avenue. according to the version of the neighbors who witnessed the trail that the vehicle had left after it passed on Saturday morning.
