The process of renovation and cleaning of the facilities in order to become part of the cultural value of the municipality has been forgotten, adding more dirt and abandonment to the picturesque town of Fataga

The acquisition of the Casa de Montull, next to a colonial building in Tunte belonging to the Macias del Toro family, was acquired in 2018. With this abandonment, the opportunity to give a boost to the tourist and economic projection for the area has been lost. municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

After the acquisition, the works were removed from the house and the residence is currently abandoned. The initially planned project consisted of the creation of a museum with his works and a tourist information point, thus seeking to add another tourist attraction to the municipality, revitalizing the Fataga area, both socially and economically.

Luis Montull, 89 years old, has been named Las Palmas' favorite son, recognized with various awards and with a street in his name. Montull has a long international career in the world of art and sculpture, with many of his works distributed in squares and streets of the archipelago. His category of “universal canary” supports the request that the opposition sends to the current government team to resume a project dedicated to his figure with which it is intended to boost Fataga and, in general, the tourist and cultural offer of the municipality .
