Several agents from the Local Police of Santa Lucía de Tirajana managed to save the life of a 67-year-old resident of the municipality, who suffered a heart attack this Thursday morning while walking down Lanzarote Street. The rapid intervention of the agents who carried out resuscitation exercises and the assistance of the health personnel allowed the man to regain the pulse that he had lost.
The events occurred around 9.30:XNUMX this morning, the police officer was carrying out neighborhood service when he was requested by several neighbors who had seen a man on the ground on Lanzarote Street, with blood on his head. According to the police report, "when you observed said person, you can see that he has a lot of saliva in his mouth and at first he has a pulse, which disappears within a minute of being in the place, and that is why the operations begin. resuscitation maneuvers with the agent requesting support from the nearest units.”
While more agents arrived, several neighbors collaborated by cutting off the road and calling the Canario 112 Emergency Services. When the health personnel arrived they were able to verify that several agents were collaborating in the resuscitation of the sick citizen, and they supported the work with an AED (External Semi-Automatic Defibrillator). . Thanks to the resuscitation efforts of the agents, the person regained consciousness and was stabilized, and was transferred to the Insular Hospital in a medical ambulance.
