The elections in the south of Gran Canaria in the month of May already draw two scenarios where AV-PP and PSOE, in alphabetical order, will have two responsibilities in the south of Gran Canaria: the future of the island's Cabildo. Those of Concepción Narváez and Marco Aurelio Pérez, also in alphabetical order, are the ones who will decide what future awaits Nueva Canarias in Las Palmas.

At the moment, the polls already have two clear leaders in Tirajana. The AV-PP leader hopes to have a comfortable majority that will allow him to govern alone. Although it is not official, PSOE has its preferred partner in Nueva Canarias to form a government in the south of the island. Therefore, the low profile that NC is maintaining given that as a hinge it can be part of the local government and the 2019 equation is repeated.
Marco Aurelio Pérez has launched the first idea of relocating municipal personnel to gain efficiency in spending. The PSOE, for its part, hopes to consolidate its local government program. There is an issue that AV-PP and PSOE do not talk about: the future of the houses that are used as tourist residences in the south of the island. At the moment, that flag is in the hands of CC.
