The candidate for Mayor in the south of Gran Canaria, Marco Aurelio Pérez, outlined this Thursday with party interveners in San Bartolomé de Tirajana the role they should play in the electoral process on May 28 given that the campaign begins on May 12 . The management of AV PP has advanced contacts with the members who will be in charge of ensuring the correct execution of the procedure on May 28. Likewise, the candidates will be representatives and the AV-PP legal services maintain their representation on the electoral board with their own institutional personality.
The message that AV-PP has conveyed to the interveners is that "their role starts this Thursday, this is not only for May 28." Likewise, AV already has the campaign teams for outlined neighborhoods. "Nothing is going to be left to chance, we are a government party that won in 2019 but the losers united to kick us out, people do remember that but PSOE avoids mentioning this issue because it does not have results with which to present itself," said this Thursday an AV-PP leader.
In Tirajana the main function of the representatives and interveners is to guarantee that the elections are carried out in a transparent manner. If they see any fact that they consider suspicious or fraudulent, they can file a claim with the electoral board, which will be obliged to address the claim. Its functions are defined in section XI of the Electoral Law.
