They were stolen to be placed in another car of the same make and model.
The affected vehicle was parked on public roads in the municipality of Patalavaca (Mogán), making it unusable for driving on public roads, so it had to be removed by a crane to be repaired.
On April 17, 2023, the Civil Guard in Gran Canaria identified two people, aged 27 and 41, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force when stealing two doors from a vehicle that was parked in the public road in the municipality of Patalavaca (Mogán), in addition to causing other damage.
The Civil Guard of Puerto Rico learned of the facts when the owner of the affected vehicle appeared at police stations on March 18 and reported the damage caused to it.
Apparently, these events occurred in the early morning of March 18 when the owner of the car learned from a neighbor that the two doors on the left side were missing, in addition to having one of the windows on the right side fractured, leaving Therefore, said vehicle was unable to circulate on public roads, so it had to be removed by a crane to be repaired.
For all these reasons, the Civil Guard began an investigation based on carrying out the technical ocular inspection and the study of the information provided by viewing video surveillance cameras; being able to determine the modus operandi and the authorship of the criminal acts, allegedly involving two individuals who, using a rental vehicle, broke one of the vehicle's windows to gain access to it and subsequently removed both doors in a few minutes; depositing them in the loading area of the vehicle used and leaving the place quickly.
For all these reasons, the appropriate procedures were carried out to clarify the facts, which were made available to the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Guard Court.
