The fifth edition of Mogán Joven, a program of the Mogán City Council that has the collaboration of the Department of Education and Youth of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, experienced this Saturday an intense night of music and feminine power thanks to two renowned artists from the urban scene, Mala Rodríguez and Lennis Rodríguez.

The latter was the first to step onto the stage installed in the square, where an audience eager to have a good time was waiting. The Dominican singer and songwriter, known internationally for songs like 'Te sale', 'Déjame el Friday', and collaborations like 'Cucu' with Juan Magán, 'Un secreto' with Maikel Delacalle or 'Diablita' with Fabbio and Omar Montes, wasted energy with a show full of dance to the sound of Latin rhythms.
Next it was Mala Rodríguez's turn. The Jerez native, who has two gold records and a double platinum record, delighted with a varied repertoire from her more than twenty-year career. “La Niña', 'Quien manda', 'I have a deal' and were played along with other more recent songs such as 'Aguante' and her latest single called 'Sombrilla', on the streets for just over a week. Mala Rodríguez, an international rap reference, showed off a unique style with her flamenco flair as well as her strength and her increasingly close relationship with the Latin urban genre.
This concert, like all the activities of the Mogán Joven program, was free.
Young Catwalk
In the Plaza Negra in Arguineguín the Young Catwalk will also be held this Sunday, April 30 at 21:00 p.m. with the designers of the municipality Aday Batista, Patricia Caro, Yanira Macías and the patron design students of the Popular University of Mogán.
Mogan Young Fest
From May 5 to 7, Plaza Pérez Galdós, in Arguineguín, will become a large recreational and cultural park hosting the 5th Mogán Young Fest and the Mogán Book Fair 2023.
Mogán Young Fest will have its Manga Festival with more than 50 creator and merchandise stalls, competitions, Cosplay areas, drawing and illustration courses, talks with artists, etc.
The largest gaming area on the island will be located in the plaza on those days with approximately 160 gaming devices available. Among these PS5, PS4 and Xbox, also having an E-Sport area, another for retro and arcade games and a Virtual Reality area. There will also be a workshop on drones, ground robots, computer training and computer recycling.
There will also be an exclusive tent for hama workshops and another with 'Wednesday Addams' drawing workshops and Tim Burton characters, horror stories, digital creation from DC or Marvel, fanzines, to learn how to draw a manga character and for creating video game characters.
Mogán Young Fest will have a space for workshops on lettering, creation of bookmarks, Neko ears, drawing superheroes, making sushi with candy, Cosplay, papercraft as well as creating wands and potions. There will also be the so-called 'Japanese Zone', where origami, Japanese painting and calligraphy, and introduction to Japanese workshops will be held.
On the other hand, initiation activities and Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, Magic and Digimon tournaments will be held, as well as a K-Pop and Cosplay contest. Information on how to register for those interested in participating will be announced soon.
Added to all this will be the many types of board games available, such as 'Dungeons & Dragons', Ramdon Play and karaoke. But also modern dance master classes and Meet & Greet with the choreographer, dancer and writer Yurena Molina. There will also be dance classes with dancer Mery Sosa. In addition, there will be a meeting and book signing with the YouTuber Indy, who on her channel 'El mundo de Indy' brings together more than 1,21 million followers.
Within the framework of the Mogán Book Fair 2023, several bookstores on the island will be present and presentations of books by Canarian authors will be held.
