A start to the week is expected with cloudy intervals, few changes in temperatures and a yellow warning warning of intense gusts of wind on the island.
This Monday, Gran Canaria will be affected by cloudy intervals and strong gusts of wind, especially in the southeastern area, where the wind already blew strongly during the weekend. Temperatures will not suffer major changes on the island, although a slight rise in maximum temperatures is expected in inland areas. In San Bartolomé de Tirajana, the temperature will range between 20 and 25 degrees, with the possibility of increasing slightly during the day.
However, the highlight of the day will be the wind. According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), northeast wind of moderate to strong intensity is expected, with possible occasional very strong gusts on southeast and northwest slopes. Since Sunday, the AEMET itself declared a yellow warning in Gran Canaria and the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife due to wind gusts of force 7, which means they could reach up to 61 kilometers per hour.
Cloudy intervals are also expected for much of the day, but very little chance of showers.
