Today, May 15, San Roque University Hospitals opens the door of the Pediatric Emergency Service in Maspalomas. This service will provide public assistance health coverage for all minors between 0 and 14 years of age in the entire southern zone for residents and foreigners.
It is therefore an area of special sensitivity and need in the southern part of the island, which has a leading staff and a first-class medical and nursing team. Its mere existence already provides maximum peace of mind for families who have at their disposal, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, specialized pediatric care without having to travel to the capital.
The unit covers a space of 300 square meters with magnificent views, lots of natural lighting, and of course, with an inspired decoration dedicated to the little ones. The layout of the space is organized with 2 medical consultations, Triage area, 8 observation boxes (4 cribs and 4 beds); dressing/casting room, aerosol room and resuscitation area.
The 24-hour Pediatric Emergency Service has a healthcare staff with extensive experience in pediatric emergencies and intensive care, completed by administrative and translation staff for foreign patients.
