Two days of art, music and crafts this weekend on the esplanade of the Maspalomas Lighthouse

 

 

The Department of Culture and Historical Heritage of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, directed by Elena Espino Santana, has organized two artistic days on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 at the Explanada del Faro de Maspalomas called “Sand, sea and mountains in the same canvas".

 

 

From 9:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy live music, a craft market, exhibitions of different artistic disciplines, talks and workshops. In addition, there will be an area for children and a food truck area.

 

Live music will be provided by local groups, among which are the “Trío el Salitre”, the “Maspalomas, Sol y Arena” Music Band, the “5elements” group and the “Zenday” group.

On the other hand, among the prominent artists who will exhibit their works are Abel Kormos, Alba Pérez Huertas and the community of multidisciplinary artists and designers “Pasión y Diseño”.

 

Ultimately, this activity responds to the objective of supporting the consumption of artisan products and promoting local commerce. “Our purpose is to help Canarian artists and merchants. Handmade products will be offered, creating synergies with different Canarian brands that will have a presence in a space where the visitor can capture the essence of each of them,” Espino highlighted.
