Canariona returns to Santa Catalina to celebrate Canary Islands Day with the voices of José Vélez and Ptazeta

The festival will have a varied musical offering that will cover different styles, including José Vélez and Ptazeta

 

On May 29, from 19:30 p.m. to 01:30 a.m., the third edition of the 'Canariona' music festival will take place in Santa Catalina Park. Once again this year, the event brings together a wide repertoire of the talent of our island's artists. From the most innovative music to the most unforgettable classics, 'Canariona' will have space for all types of tastes. The poster will also feature the presence of José Velez and Ptazeta, with Victor Lemes, Delia Santana, DJ Wanda Fuentes, Tabaiba Proyect, Arube and Tabaiba.

 

The order of performances planned for the festival will be as follows: At 19:30 p.m. Víctor Lemes will begin, who will be on stage for half an hour to be replaced by Delia Santana and, from 20:30 p.m. to 22:00 p.m., José Vélez will occupy the stage. At 22:00 p.m. There will be various artists who will alternate with Wanda Fuentes DJ intervening in each group change.

 

In order to enjoy the shows and parallel activities, no type of ticket will be necessary, access will be completely free and open to all people who wish to attend the Canariona concerts.

 

In addition to the concert program, Santa Catalina Park will have other activities during the day with various events and workshops during the morning. In this regard, it should be noted that from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a children's crafts workshop for Canary Islands Day and from 12:00 to 13:00 p.m., the folklore performance by the Las Goteras Group. At the same time you can enjoy street craft stalls, as well as stalls selling candy, toys and nougat.

 

The president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, referred to 'Canariona' as an opportunity to start celebrating May 30. “This festival brings us into the commemoration of Canary Islands Day in a fantastic way, through the different artistic expressions that the artists of our land give us.”
