• Promoted by the Gran Angular Canarian Cultural Association, the aforementioned event will take place in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, activating the sale of its voucher and tickets.

The 17th edition of the San Rafael en Corto Exhibition (SREC) puts on sale on October 19 the access voucher to the sessions scheduled for the aforementioned event, which will take place in Santa Lucía de Tirajana from November 6 to 12 , promoted by the Gran Angular Canarian Cultural Association. The festival, which will allocate all proceeds to the victims of the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma, is taking place this year under the name 'Cinema and human rights'.

Likewise, on October 26, the festival will activate the sale of tickets for the public who wish to attend each of the sessions planned at the Víctor Jara Theater in Vecindario.

The price of tickets for each session will be 2 euros, while the voucher for all sessions will be 12 euros. Until October 25, the voucher can be purchased at www.entrees.es and at the Ateneo Municipal de Santa Lucía. Starting on the 26th it can only be purchased at the aforementioned athenaeum. Tickets for each of the sessions can be purchased from October 26 on the website www.entrees.es and at the Ateneo Municipal de Santa Lucía.

SREC, which has the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the city council of Santa Lucía de Tirajana and the Vice-Ministry of Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, will allocate the proceeds entirely to the victims of the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma.

This new edition of SREC calls for strict compliance with article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which establishes that “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights and, endowed as they are with reason and conscience, must behave fraternally with one another.”

The SREC 2021 exhibition, which will once again be held as usual at the Víctor Jara theater in Vecindario, is structured as a space for the dissemination of Canarian cinematography and support for new directors from the Islands.

Last year, 111 short films were presented at this international event promoted by the Gran Angular Association and were exhibited in its ten official scheduled sessions. In 2020, the organization received a total of 450 works from more than 30 countries, of which more than 80 were of Canarian origin and more than thirty were directed by women.
