Alejandro Marichal: “We will fight for the mayor's office to be able to transform San Bartolomé de Tirajana”
The Telde Electoral Board has ratified the results counted on March 28 in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, giving one more vote to CC and elevating last Sunday's results to final. In this way, the tie for seven councilors between the Canarian Coalition and PP-AV is confirmed, the six from the PSOE and the five obtained by NC. The Electoral Board confirms the initial result, which in the words of the leader of the nationalists, Alejandro Marichal, “legitimizes us to begin the negotiations with which CC could lead the new government of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.”
Alejandro Marichal describes the results obtained as “a resounding success” since the Canarian Coalition has doubled the number of votes compared to the 2019 elections, and is the only political party that has increased the number of councilors from 4 to 7. The results obtained , indicates the leader of the nationalists, “it is mathematical evidence that the neighbors have seen in the Canary Coalition the real alternative to lead the government of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.” For this reason, Marichal continues, "we will fight for the municipal mayor's office in the coming days since this way we will be able to defend all the projects that we have defined to transform San Bartolomé de Tirajana."
The leader of the Canarian Coalition highlights that his party is willing to talk and agree with those forces with which it can join and with which a programmatic agreement can be reached. Among the measures to be carried out, the outsourcing of municipal public services such as roads and works, public lighting, maintenance of playgrounds and sports stands out; start construction of public housing; give land for the construction of a specialty center, and another for the senior residence; the creation of the social IBI for families with fewer resources and the modification of the PGO to consolidate the existing residential use in tourist areas, specializing the use of plots, converting those where residents and tourists coexist to Mixed Use.
This programmatic part dedicated to the resident of San Bartolomé de Tirajana will coexist with the work that will be carried out to improve and transform the tourist area. To do this, it will give impetus to a modernization plan that encourages the renewal of shopping centers and that entails a tourist infrastructure plan that guarantees an investment of 50 million euros in the next four years. In addition, it will work to develop a Comprehensive Plan for the management and improvement of the coastline and beach services as well as positioning and promoting Maspalomas Costa Canaria in the digital space, investing 1.000.000 euros for online promotion.
