The mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, has the municipality tied and well tied after the elections on May 28 in the Canary Islands. In the CC islands, although with PP DNA in her political veins, the mayor is being considered to be a counselor in the Government of the Canary Islands of Fernando Clavijo with PP.
His position would be occupied by the until now Councilor for Urban Planning and Contracting, Mencey Navarro Romero, unless another leader on the list is chosen. Bueno has multiple names to choose from as a replacement if this appointment is confirmed.
What regional portfolio could be in Bueno's hands? It would not be ruled out that it was something related to social issues or immigration. The Tourism department could be in the hands of the CC leader in Lanzarote. However, it is a chaotic area because it has been in the hands of Podemos and anything that hinders his management can appear there.
In the last regional elections on May 28, CC in Gran Canaria was led by Pablo Rodríguez, Vidina Espino, and Onalia Bueno. José Manuel Betancor, former general director of Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands; and the doctor Alexis Rodríguez León, are in the deck of possible senior positions in the regional Administration arising from CC and PP.
