After the ratification of the tie between PP-AV and Canary Coalition by the electoral board, we know in detail the voting trends in the municipality
A week after election day, people are still talking about it. A few days ago the tie between PP-AV and the Canarian Coalition was ratified, which will force both political formations to sit down to negotiate on equal terms for the formation of a government in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The results and voting trends in the municipality can help to better understand that tie that leaves in the air who will be the next mayor of the municipality or how the council offices will be distributed.
The data indicates that, by area, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana PP-AV and Canarian Coalition votes have been distributed in mainly tourist areas such as Meloneras, Maspalomas or San Agustín, in addition to urban centers such as San Fernando. In these areas, the difference between both political forces has not been more than 6%.
PP-AV obtained a large number of votes in the center of the municipality, painting the map blue and leading the Canary Coalition by more than 40% with 570 votes compared to 138. The center of San Bartolomé de Tirajana registered a participation of almost 83% well above the regional and national average. In the coastal areas of the municipality there was no fixed trend of participation, it exceeded 72% in areas of Castillo del Romeral and did not exceed 40% in El Veril.
The disruptive note on the electoral map in San Bartolomé de Tirajana was placed by Castillo del Romeral, especially in the areas of Las Salinas and El Matorral, the closest to Santa Lucía, where Nueva Canarias was the most voted force following the trend of the municipality neighbor.
