Canarian Coalition and Popular Party – Neighborhood Association have signed a pre-government agreement for San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The commitment of both forces is to form a pact for stability and improvement in the governance of the municipality, to work and apply the necessary formulas that transform the current municipal situation, betting on projects that allow progress and grant a better present and future to San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The municipal elections held on May 28 resulted in the formation of the Municipal Plenary of San Bartolomé de Tirajana with the presence of four political forces, without any of them managing to reach a sufficient number of councilors to govern alone. What the vote did reflect is the detriment of the trust placed in the PSOE, NC and Cs forces who have directed the Municipal Corporation in the last years of the legislature. Thus, given the request for change made by the population at the polls and which gave a tie to seven councilors between both formations, PP-AV and CC have decided to join together to work together in a government that allows the transformation of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The leaders of PP-AV and CC, Marco Aurelio Pérez and Alejandro Marichal, have signed a pre-agreement by which both parties would join together to govern the municipality with 14 councilors, one more than necessary to form the absolute majority. In the absence of the distribution of areas, both parties are now working on the programmatic agreement that will allow them to define the objectives and the work sheet for the next four years. In this way, both leaders agree in pointing out the importance of articulating measures and promoting effective policies to improve the Administration from within, and offer concrete solutions to those areas that in recent years have suffered great deterioration such as tourist spaces, planning , housing, education, playgrounds, sports, culture... and whose management and renovation needs have been totally neglected.
