YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE ZAFRA FAIR PROGRAM from El Tablero
The XXIV edition of the El Tablero Zafra Fair, organized by the Department of Culture of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, will be held this Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 with numerous activities for all audiences.
The programming begins on Friday at 19:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center with the opening of the exhibition Caricanaries. This is a sample of caricatures of famous people from the Canary Islands made by Néstor Dámaso del Pino, a Gran Canarian caricaturist who has received various international awards.
Next, at 19:30 p.m., different groups and associations from El Tablero will hold a collective exhibition, ending the event with a cast and a performance by the Maspalomas Sol y Arena Band in the courtyard of the Cultural Center.
The fair will continue on Saturday starting at 17:30 p.m. in the public square with a craft exhibition, an exhibition by the El Tablero collectives, children's workshops, displays of traditional games, sale of gastronomic products, a reading corner, a photographic exhibition and tasting of traditional Zafra food. In addition, a solidarity stand for humanitarian aid for South Sudan will be present at the site.
The final touch to this fair will be the performance of the Tabaiba Folk Group, at 21:00 p.m., and the traditional taifa dance by "Los Horcones" and "La Cucaña", starting at 22:00 p.m. .
