Marco Aurelio Pérez and Alejandro Marichal signed the pact that certifies the government team for a new legislature in San Bartolomé de Tirajana
PP-AV and the Canary Coalition signed this morning what had been an open secret since the night of May 28: the pact to govern in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. In an event held at the San Fernando Senior Center, Marco Aurelio Pérez and Alejandro Marichal signed the pact in the presence of the government team made up of 14 councilors, distributed equally between both parties.
Marco Aurelio Pérez will serve as mayor of the municipality; In exchange, Canarian Coalition will be in charge of the most relevant areas within the government group such as Tourism, Housing, Urban Planning, Celebrations or Economy and Finance. Regarding housing, the leader of the Canarian Coalition in the municipality, Alejandro Marichal, stated that it will be “the housing legislature” in reference to the construction of public housing that he intends to carry out in the municipality. For its part, PP-AV will be in charge of the areas of Human Resources, Health, Sports, Culture and Education, among others.
The projects that are intended to be carried out during the legislature have also played a leading role in the intervention of local leaders, such as the announcement of a powerful investment to rebuild the tourist area or the construction of a nursing home. The municipality's health will be one of the major areas to benefit from this legislature after the announcement of the transfer of land for the construction of a specialty center and the expansion of the San Roque Meloneras Hospital.
Regarding the construction of Siam Park, one of the most talked about issues in the municipality in recent years, Marichal has stated that “they will work from minute one” to achieve that objective during the legislature. The inauguration ceremony will take place on June 17.
