FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION PROGRAM. ART AND COSTUMES DEPARTMENTS
The Art and Costume Departments take center stage in the course 'Film, television and advertising production', which will be taught from June 26 to 30, within the program of the XXXI edition of the Maspalomas Summer University. Classes will be held, in the morning and afternoon, at the Carmelo Pérez Rodríguez Cultural Center (El Tablero), in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. This Course will be taught by three outstanding professionals from the audiovisual sector in the Canary Islands: Cayetana H. Cuyás, Film Director; Sara Cabrera, costume designer, and Silvia Sánchez Horna, film and advertising producer.
“It will be an intensive, complete, enjoyable program in which enrolled people will be able to gain great practical knowledge that is very useful for working in the Art and Costume Departments” of any production, film or advertising. The educational program is open to all audiences, even if they have no prior experience or knowledge.

The speakers will explain to the students the diversity and importance of each of the areas that come into play in the Production of a cinematographic work. The teachings will begin with a theoretical introduction, which will soon give way to practical classes in which students will learn everything necessary to be able to work on a real shoot. In fact, the course ends with a filming session of a scene from a real script. “We want to give a lot of importance to the practical part of the course,” says Silvia Sánchez Horna. “Students will be able to put into practice everything they have learned and will know how the departments are organized to do a good job.”
