Workers from the municipal offices of Maspalomas request changes for improvements, to provide a better service to residents
The delegate of the Public Administration union requests changes to resolve the deficiencies of the service in San Bartolomé de Tirajana
The workers' spokesperson conveys the complaints of professionals who request an end to the appointment-based care system and adequate infrastructure for users with shady areas
The union delegate of the Public Administration workers (SAP) of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Juan Jesús Moreno, has requested on behalf of the professionals in the sector a series of measures that improve the conditions of attention to citizens and the service. Officials ask for improvements to be able to adequately respond to complaints from neighboring users, who denounce several basic deficiencies that end up falling on the workers.
In this sense, it has reported through a general request that users are denouncing the appointment service, and requests on behalf of the workers represented by the union group that it either be eliminated or an appropriate procedure be developed to guarantee the safety of users and officials.
Furthermore, they denounce that the infrastructures do not respond to the needs of users, since they lack areas where they can complete the documentation required. For this reason, the union requests that these offices be provided with shaded areas to protect themselves from the sun, rain and inclement weather, as well as tables and chairs in the outdoor area where they can fill out the documents they need to see their requests resolved. .
Users report to municipal employees who serve the public that there is a general lack of information about the procedures they have to carry out, which is why officials officially request the development of procedures for serving the public and the different municipal departments that respond to the needs of the public served.
The union delegate has made a formal general written request, in which he presents the interest of his representatives in the training and which has been registered on October 18 at the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council. This document is addressed to the mayor, Concepción Narváez, or to the municipal representative competent in the matter with the objective that these requests are resolved and thus improve the service, citizen attention and coexistence within the municipality.
In response to this request, the municipal corporation has sent this note:
MUNICIPAL OFFICES RECOVER NORMALITY
Appointments are no longer mandatory in registration and statistics services
The functioning of citizen services in municipal offices is gradually returning to normal. Although the measures of the use of masks, hydroalcoholic gel and safety distance remain in force, as of this Monday, prior appointments for registration and statistics services (registration) are no longer mandatory.
The mandatory appointment system was implemented during the pandemic to avoid overcrowding and queues. The appointment booking service will remain active at www.maspalomas.com for those who wish to schedule appointments at the municipal offices, but those without appointments will also be assisted.
