The renowned Gran Canarian artist has reported the non-payment and disappearance of one of his works after transferring it to the San Bartolomé de Tirajana city council for the Maspalomas Regional Folklore Festival.

Looking for one of Pepe Damaso's artistic works in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The Gran Canarian artist has denounced that the work that he gave to be used during the Maspalomas Regional Folklore Festival has disappeared and that no one from the council gives him answers about his whereabouts.

It is a work of approximately 75x50cm that was transferred to the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to use its image and replicate the work on different sheets that would be delivered to the participating groups and used during the contest. The initial approach was to show the original work at the presentation of the contest, held on Friday, April 28 at the Maspalomas Lighthouse, but finally the plans were changed and it remained packaged. Pepe Dámaso was with Conchi Narváez at that event.
