The Traditions Days are held again in Mogán from November 1 to 5
After a mandatory break in 2020 due to the pandemic, the 'Days of Traditions' return to Mogán from November 1 to 5 for what will be its twenty-second edition. The El Mocán Folkloric and Cultural Association promotes the activity with the sponsorship and collaboration of the Mogán City Council. On this occasion focused on sharecropping in the south of Gran Canaria.
The 22nd edition will begin on Monday, November 1, All Saints' Day, with the traditional Noche de Finaos in Sarmiento y Coto square in the historic center. The facilities of the El Mocán Folkloric and Cultural Association will host the cherry workshop from November 3 to 5, from 18:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m., which will be taught by fellow residents of the municipality Emilio García and Alexis Rodríguez. The president of El Mocán, Paco Rodríguez, points out that this workshop wants to reach each of the groups and neighborhoods that participate in the Pilgrimage-Ofrenda to San Antonio El Chico, so that they can learn to make their own ceretos and use them in the carts that parade through the streets of the historic center every June.
