A horror festival and a Tik Tok contest

A horror festival and a Tik Tok contest will star on Halloween night in Maspalomas

The Department of Culture and Historical Heritage of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has organized different activities to celebrate Halloween night in San Fernando and Castillo del Romeral.

San Fernando will enjoy the Truco o Trato horror festival on October 29 and 30, developed by the Cultura a Muerte Cultural Association. These are different activities that range from makeup workshops or creating costumes with recycled materials to a Flashmob or family horror film. 

La Cultural Association Culture to Death It was born in 2020 with the objective of carrying out and planning cultural projects in favor of the community and is made up of citizens of the municipality related to Culture. 

After the show premiered The Maltese Falcon This association intends to undertake its second project "Trick or Treating" to establish a cultural current around Halloween and generate social and cultural dynamization. 

Among the activities scheduled for the horror festival is a makeup workshop taught by Vanesa Briz where attendees will learn to make their own wounds for Halloween with hypoallergenic materials.

Costumes are essential elements for the Halloween celebration. For this reason, Ariadna Rodríguez, President of the Association, will offer a costume workshop with recycled materials to raise awareness of the importance of generating the least possible impact on the planet.

For her part, tarot reader Kuri will show how the tarot works and how it is complemented with other oracles, also teaching how astronomy affects people and how the astrological chart works.

In addition, the horror festival programming has the collaboration of Alba Rodríguez Gopar, instructor at the Universidad Popular del Sur and President of Moonster Danza y Fitness, who will be in charge of directing a terrifying Flashmob. 

The Trick or Treat festival is complemented by the play “The damned door of a haunted house”, a comedy of entanglements between masters, slaves, lies and ghosts in which when authority is missing, debauchery takes over anyone. It will take place on October 29 at 20:00 p.m. with free entry and limited capacity after registration by calling 928 72 00 35.

 

The Addams Family will also be part of the programming with the film screening on October 30. Gómez and Morticia prepare the visit of their large family to celebrate the “Mazurka with saber” in honor of Pugsley, a rite of passage to become a man worthy of the Addams family.

Students and alumni of the Municipal Theater School join the Halloween celebration with the characterization of characters in a performance where they will interact with the public on October 29 and 30.

To register for the activities of the Trick or Treat Horror Festival, it will be necessary to fill out the forms for each workshop, which can be accessed through the QR codes that appear in the festival's digital programming that can be consulted on the Facebook page. “Culture and Historical Heritage of San Bartolomé de Tirajana”.

Castillo del Romeral will also celebrate Halloween night with workshops, storytelling, a trick-or-treat route, face painting and performances. This programming is carried out with the collaboration of the Cultura a Muerte Cultural Association and the Castillo del Romeral Festival Commission.

Finally, the Department of Culture and Historical Heritage, through its sociocultural revitalization service, celebrates the II Tiktok Halloween 2021 Contest. Those interested in participating only have to send a maximum of 2 videos of 30 seconds in length to the email ppgad@pucrs.br until the November 1.

 

The videos must be themed related to Halloween and you can participate alone or with family and friends.
