The Traiña Trail CEISA celebrates its eighth edition this Saturday, July 1, and does so with great participation. At sunset, 620 runners distributed over distances of 29, 15 and 10 kilometers and in the hiking section will start on Miguel Marrero de Arguineguín street, next to Las Marañuelas beach. This morning the test was presented, organized by the Veredas Atauro club in collaboration with the Mogán City Council and with CEISA as the main sponsor.
The El Perchel beach area, the finishing point of the competition, has been the place chosen to present the details of the Traiña, known as 'The Summer Race'. The Councilor for Sports of Mogán, Luis Becerra, has stated that we are facing “a socio-sports activity” since “the runners enjoy the different distances but both they and the neighbors and those who visit this recently renovated enclave will enjoy the beach bar, concerts and the climbing wall show.”
The director of the race, Óscar Mejías, explained that the 29 kilometer distance has 70 people registered, the 15 kilometer distance with 170, the 10 kilometer distance with 310 and the hiking section with another 70. The first start will be of the distance of 29 kilometers and will do so with the setting of the group Aseres and DJ Samu. “I invite everyone to come to Miguel Marrero Street to encourage the first participants,” he noted. Next, the hiking distances of 15 and 10 kilometers will appear. Once the races are over, the party will continue at El Perchel with the tribute concert to Héroes del Silencio and DJ Julian.
The director of operations of CEISA, Jaime Cambre, attended the presentation ceremony, and assured that the entity he represents is very proud to collaborate “with initiatives such as the Traiña Trail CEISA, intended for the enjoyment of all residents.”

This 2023 the speed climbing competition returns. Called 'Traiña Bloc', it will take place in the finish area, where the climbing wall, more than 5 meters high, is already erected. They compete in categories from 8 years old, starting both on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, June 1 at 17:00 p.m.

This morning the opportunity was taken to also present a new sports event organized by the Veredas Atauro Club which, as its director, Francisco Moreno, said, “will be the sister of the Traiña Trail.” “The competition will consist of two distances, one of 40 kilometers with an approximate slope of 900 meters and another short one of 25 kilometers and more than 400 meters of slope,” he reported.
The test, which will take place on September 30, will take place mainly in San Bartolomé de Tirajana although its finish line will be in Mogán, in the area of El Perchel beach. Based on this, and to show his support for the event, the Sports Councilor from the neighboring municipality, Ramón Suárez, was present. “The Traiña Bike CEISA should be an example of permanent collaboration in the Barranco de Arguineguín, the purpose being to improve the lives of its neighbors. “Sport unites and builds, so we must continue to enjoy it,” he said.
