Defending the Canarian identity, for Txema Santana, is also expressed in the field of migration. “We continue to demand greater commitment” from the State to the islands, with a center where people can be served in the best conditions, with referrals sustained over time and with the greatest possible transparency to avoid the collapse of management in a reception territory. The Senate candidate opted to project the influence and relations of the community with the African continent, starting with Morocco and passing through Senegal and Mauritania, among the main ones. The “Canarian voice” that NC-BC represents in Madrid, Santana continued, will also be in favor of a greater presence in these diplomatic relations of the State with neighboring countries.
Nueva Canarias, Campos resumed, is committed to a State model that progresses in collective and individual freedoms, strong in its state of well-being, plural, sensitive to territorial diversity and committed to the fight against climate change, sustainability and renewable energies. .
The state government, for the Canarismo of progress, has to favor smaller pensions, especially non-contributory ones, of which the Canary Islands register a significant number. In the same sense, the candidate referred to the Congress of Deputies to achieve a housing plan, as a basis for the construction of protected public housing. The defense of democracy, gender equality, the advances of feminism and the fight against gender violence will be an “essential” issue of NC's work in the next four years in the Cortes Generales.
