Yesterday afternoon, a festive event was held in the Zaragoza Main Event Hall of the Municipal Offices of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council by the Local Police of the municipality in the southeast of Gran Canaria, in which its mayor, Francisco García, participated. In this event, on the one hand, 31 Municipal Police officers who have dedicated between 25 and 35 years of their professional life to ensuring security and citizen coexistence in Santa Lucía de Tirajana were decorated. On the other hand, the 11 new Local Police officers took office as career officials after having received basic training from the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies, and completing 1200 hours of practice.
In the words of the mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Francisco García López, “it is a real source of pride for our municipality to be able to have a local police force like the one we have.
